Tips from Business Peer Tutors

What to Do During Class

  • Highlight topics/ideas that you found challenging so you can revisit them
  • Try to take notes on the main ideas- you don’t want to miss what the teacher is saying because you are too busy writing
  • Write down helpful examples and how they are solved in class

What to Do After Class

  • Try practice problems on your own and then ask for help to see how much of the material you have retained
  • Take full advantage of Wiley Plus/Pearson and what they have to offer
  • Don’t wait until you have an assignment or exam to review the material from class

How to Prepare for Exams

  • Don’t pull an all nighter- eat good food, get rest, and spread your studying out
  • Make a list of topics you are struggling with so you can focus on that material
  • Know how to use your calculator and Excel efficiently to not waste time during the exam
